Former LAPD Detective Alleges This Mogul Hired A Hit On Tupac In New Documentary

The East Coast vs. West Coast rap beef was a pretty epic showdown during the 90’s. West Coast rapper, Tupac was not seeing eye to eye with East Coast rapper, Notorious B.I.G. and it encouraged a host of other rappers and fans to take sides, sparking a huge “war” of words. The war eventually got physical, leaving both of these figures in hip hop history dead. Their murders have never been solved, perhaps until now!

A new documentary called Murder Rap features recent interviews from former LAPD detective, Greg Kading who was assigned to reopen the rappers’ murder cases in 2006. Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace had filed a lawsuit against the LAPD, claiming that they were covering for a cop who she believed had killed her son, but when Kading took on the case n 2006, he and his team were able to prove that this was not the case. So who really did it?

The Huffington Post reports that, “Based on his three years working the cases, Kading claims that Sean “Diddy” Combs hired Crips gang member Duane Keith “Keffe D” Davis to kill Shakur and his manager, Marion Hugh “Suge” Knight, for $1 million. He alleges that on the night of Sept. 7, 1996, Keffe D’s nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, pulled the trigger. Only Shakur was killed.”

The documentary also features an interview from 2008 where Keffe D makes claims that he overheard Diddy say he’d ‘give anything for Pac and Suge Knight’s heads’. As we all know, Suge got away unharmed, but in retaliation for Tupac’s murder, Kading also alleges that Suge Knight ordered rival gang member, Wardell ‘Poochie’ Fouse, to kill Biggie Smalls for just $13k.

It just so happens that once Kading found that he had enough evidence to acquit the LAPD for the murder, the case was dropped and Kading was taken off the case in 2009. According to HuffPost, “Kading alleges that the LAPD chose not to pursue formal charges in the case because of Combs’ celebrity and because the evidence pointed to two killers who were already deceased. Anderson and Fouse have both died of apparently unrelated causes.”
