Friends And Family Celebrate DMX’s Life At The Barclays Center In Brooklyn

Roommates, as we continue to mourn the passing of the legendary DMX, his friends and family celebrated his life today at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. It’s been a little over a week since the world was devastated to learn of DMX’s passing. Since then, celebrities, fans and friends have taken to the internet to express their condolences and share beautiful memories of DMX. Today, the culmination of all of the love turned into a beautiful ceremony that rode out in style. In the hours leading up to DMX’s celebration of life, the streets of NYC were filled with ‘Ruff Ryders’ as fans rode alongside DMX’s casket which was perched onto a huge truck that read ‘Long Live DMX.’ His procession was accompanied by what looked like hundreds of motorcycles there to pay their respects to Dark Man X! See below to see a video of his procession:

At the Barclays Center, DMX’s family and friends also shared words on stage accompanied by Kanye’s ‘Sunday Service’ choir. But one of the most notable eulogies was delivered by Swizz Beatz who preached the importance of spreading love when a person is alive and how important it is to have a will in place to avoid people trying to dig their hands in your pockets when that time comes. See what he had to say below:
