TSR Updatez: Could this be a sign that things will move in the right direction for Future and Eliza Reign? Future has dropped his federal defamation suit against Eliza, according to Bossip Official.
This week lawyers for both of them agreed to dismiss the case with prejudice, or in other words, Future can’t sue her again for the same thing, according to court docs.
While the case has been deaded, it’s not immediately clear if Future and Eliza reached an out of court settlement in the case, or if Future simply had a change of heart. Lawyers for both parties declined to comment.
The case’s dismissal could signify a turn in the relationship between the parents as it was just earlier this month when Eliza reportedly asked the judge to have Future jailed for failing to turn over his financial records.
The situation seemed to have gotten out of hand, with Future trying to make Eliza pay over his claims that she leaked intimate details about their relationship.
Future sued Eliza in February, accusing her of falsely claiming that he tried to coerce her to get an abortion, and when she had a change of heart, threatened to have her murdered, according to the court docs.
He said he was embarrassed and humiliated when Eliza spilled the tea about their sex life, including describing his genitalia.
Future also claimed Eliza had a devastating affect on his career and reputation and he has suffered “tremendous emotional distress” and had “turned his world upside down,” according to court docs.
Now that he’s dismissed his defamation case against Eliza, Future will hopefully come to some agreement on what his child support payment will be for the daughter they share.
He was determined to be the father of the baby in May, but Eliza recently rejected Future’s offer for $1,000 a month in child support.
Let’s hope these two can figure things out and successfully co-parent for their baby’s sake.
