The month of March brought us soooo many break up announcements, it was a little hard to keep up, Roomies! One of the most surprising couples to call it quits was Gary Owen and his now estranged wife Kenya Duke, who is now looking for a decent chunk of change in their divorce settlement!
According to TMZ, Kenya is looking for bout $44,000 a month in spousal support from Gary, claiming in legal documents that it’s the same amount he would normally deposit into her account to spend how she saw fit.
In the documents, Kenya also claims that she left her own career to support Gary’s dreams, leaving her no choice but to request spousal support following filing for divorce. She clams that they have consistently brought in between $200,000 and $400,000 in monthly income, and have never gone below $100,000.
Kenya Duke claims that she is used to Gary having $300,000 to $600,000 worth of uncashed checks laying around, which she would deposit whenever she needed to.
As we previously reported, Kenya filed divorce back in March after being married to Gary for almost 18 years! Kenya has yet to reveal why she is ending her marriage, but she had an interesting message for Claudia Jordan shortly after the news broke!
Kenya’s message was quite vague, but she did make one thing clear, she was not here for the allegations regarding Claudia Jordan breaking up her marriage!
“Tried to be quiet out of respect for my kids but @ClaudiaJordan has me on one this morning. 23 years together, Gary didn’t have sh*t but a raggedy pickup and good credit, no place to live. Dallas, TX your old a** should know better. Married, not separated, married @GarryOwenComedy, all the energy you spent lying, acting, and creating a fake narrative for these b*tches that want to be me. You could have done it with a veggie burger and a glass of fake filtered water,” Kenya Duke wrote.
