TSR Foodies: Could this be the first indicator that things will turn around in 2021? Dunkaroos is making a comeback in January but just not the way we remember the delicious snack time treat.
General Mills is officially turning Dunkaroos into a cereal! The food giant revealed Dunkaroos will be coming to a breakfast table near you as part of its 2021 lineup!
The nostalgic 90s snack will be turned into a vanilla-flavored sweetened corn cereal with sprinkles on top so we can only hope it tastes exactly like the real thing.
Some of the other cereals to make General Mills’ 2021 lineup are Chocolate Strawberry Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Chocolate Churros, Sesame Street cereal and a new line of keto-friendly breakfast cereals for those trying to get their new year’s resolutions on.
“Introducing our latest lineup of NEW cereals, coming soon to a store shelf near you! Which ones are you excited to try first?” General Mills’ caption read along with a spread of its new contenders.

An official Instagram page for Dunkaroos also confirmed the good news.
“The rumors are real, Dunkaroos cereal is coming soon!” Dunkaroos’ caption read. “Kicking off the new year with even more nostalgia, available early January 2021.”
The rumors about a Dunkaroos cereal came about this summer, though it wasn’t officially confirmed then.
Multiple food blogs reported on the rumored cereal and even got their hands on mock-up designs. Who knew the cereal world was that exclusive?
Well, Dunkaroos cereal is not the first cereal news we reported this year. The cereal world has more in the pipeline than you know!
