The drama between Halle Bailey and her ex DDG has just hit a new level. Days after she dropped bombshell abuse claims against DDG and took legal action, Halle has made a major move involving their son, Halo.
According to new documents PEOPLE obtained, Halle Bailey has now been granted temporary sole legal and physical custody of Halo. Previously, TSR reported that Halle accused DDG of physical and emotional abuse in a court filing, later securing a restraining order against him. The temporary restraining order requires the rapper to stay 100 yards away from Halle and Halo at all times. The legal injunction will remain in place until their court hearing on June 4.
In Halle’s declaration that surfaced online, she said she’s tried everything to avoid taking DDG to court. She also mentioned that she can’t handle the abuse anymore and refuses to put up with his alleged threats.
“I realize that there is no placating Darryl. I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this. I never know when he is going to demand our son to be in his mother’s care and whether I will be subjected to his threats and abuse,” Bailey’s statement reportedly read.

PEOPLE also notes that Halle has reportedly requested an order to prevent child abduction, citing DDG’s past of hiding their son and not cooperating. Additionally, she wants the judge to block him from traveling with Halo or getting passports without her approval. If he travels with him with her permission, she wants him to share travel details, contact info, and a return ticket just in case.
Furthermore, ‘The Little Mermaid’ star wants the judge to also deny DDG unsupervised visits. She’s asking for him to have supervised visits once a week for six hours with a professional present while Halo is in Los Angeles.
In the midst of all of the drama, DDG hit X (formerly Twitter) with a subliminal message about where he stands. He told his followers he’s free of worries.
“I’m chillin btw.. I have no worries. streaming later on, no days off!” he wrote.
