Halle Bailey Teases New Song
On Saturday night (Oct. 12), Halle Bailey let her fans know she was in the studio cooking up something new. The first clip shows ‘The Little Mermaid’ star strumming her guitar, then giving fans a lil’ sneak peek of a new track where she soulfully sings, ‘Breaking My Heart in Two.’
Halle also shared a photo of her son, Halo, who she shares with her ex-boyfriend, DDG, sitting in front of a keyboard at the studio. Halle’s fans know she recently dropped a record titled ‘Because I Love You’ in August. Listen to the song preview below.

Halle Bailey Breaks Silence Amid Split From DDG
As TSR previously reported, Halle Bailey and DDG have been trending on and off for most of October, as he keeps speaking out after announcing their breakup.
Before teasing the new track, Halle seemingly broke her silence with a lil’ photo dump. Instead of dragging the father of her child, she respectfully gave fans a glimpse of her “life lately.” The ‘Do It’ singer shared a carousel of pics — hitting the gym solo, chilling at the pool with baby Halo, and vibing in the studio with a glass of what fans believed was wine. She kept the caption simple, writing, “Life is beautiful,” and adding Destiny’s Child song ‘Survivor’ to the post.
DDG Goes Viral After Announcing Breakup
According to TSR, DDG had social media in shambles when he posted a breakup message on his Instagram Stories on (Oct. 3). The post suggested that he and Halle mutually decided to go their separate ways after “a lot of reflection and heartfelt conversations.” He also mentioned that, while the decision was tough, it was the best move for both of them.
“Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other. As we focus on our own individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared. As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support,” DDG’s message stated.
Earlier this week, DDG clapped back at people trolling their split. The rapper clarified that no matter what changes happen, he and Halle will always be family.
“It’s a reason why she stayed with me, it’s a reason why we had a child together. It’s a reason why all of this happened. Me and Halle are forever family. I would Swiss cheese your granny, I don’t care if she’s 100. I would Swiss cheese your granny over Halle and that’s just what it is. That’s called family,” he said.
Before he dropped the family PSA, he responded to a fan during a recent stream who tried to claim he might be seeing someone else. The YouTube creator quickly set the record straight, saying he isn’t dating anyone right now and has no interest in anyone else at the moment.
“No, let me say that right now, y’all. I am not dating anyone, I don’t have a potential girlfriend nor do I even think about that whatsoever. I don’t plan on getting into another relationship at all, unless it’s Halle. That’s the only way. I am not finna get a new girlfriend. I don’t have the desire. I don’t want multiple baby mamas, I don’t want none of that.”
“We taking a break like I said. I’m finna go pick my son up after this. Let me life my life, that’s none of your business,” he added.
