Trump announced today that he is doing away with a planned pay raise for federal workers.
According to CNN, Donnie told lawmakers that the nations budget cant support the pay increase that the roughly 1.8 million federal employees were expecting. In a letter to Congress, Trump said the raises would amount to $25 billion, which he described as inappropriate.
He still feels the government should be focused on recruiting, retaining and rewarding high-performing federal employees with critical skill sets.
