Earlier this week the hip-hop community was hit with a tough loss after new broke that Prodigy, one-half of the rap duo, Mobb Deep, suddenly passed away.
Right now all of our favorite celebs are out in Los Angles enjoying BET Weekend, with the 2017 BET Awards going down on Sunday.
According to TMZ, Havoc and Lil Kim were reportedly added to the show, and they are expected to do a special tribute to Prodigy. Production sources reportedly revealed they were late add-ons to the show as presenters.
They are expected to share some personal words as they honor the late Mobb Deep member.
Sources reportedly said BET executives rushed to try and get a tribute performance together after Prodigy’s sudden death on Tuesday, but it was too late. Artists had already signed contracts to perform at the award show for weeks.
TMZ reached out to BET to see if there were any other additional changes made, but they have yet to hear a response.
