This might sound like a bit of a shocker to those of you who are only familiar with Idris Elba on the big screen, but he has been making music for some time now and it looks like he has some more heat on the way!
While speaking with MistaJam on CapitalFM’s The All-New Capital Weekender, Idris spoke about recovering from COVID-19, and dedicating his time to putting out new music for his fans. He even revealed that he has an exciting collaboration coming with Megan Thee Stallion and David!
“I’m doing more music, Jam you know what it’s like, I’m trying to stay with it when we’re gigging now,” Idris said. “So I’ve got some really cool music coming, been wring with Franky Was on a tune I’m looking forward to dropping. I’ve got a sneaky tune with Meg Thee Stallion and Davido.”

Idris went on to say that he feels that life is too short not to do what you want to do and enjoy it, which has inspired much of his love for music. He also added that he hopes to work with Taylor Swift one day.
“I’ve known Taylor a few years,” he said. “She is an incredibly hard-working person, she isn’t resting on her achievements. To perform live with her would be fun and hopefully, we can make that happen.”
Idris took the world by storm when he dropped some bars on Wiley’s 2019 single “Boasty”, but check out another piece of his work he posted on the ‘gram earlier this year.
