We all pretty much watched Iggy Azalea publicly deal with the destruction of her relationship to her former fiancé Nick Young.
The 26-year old rapper found out through the media that Young was expecting another child with his ex, which was the last straw and the ending of their relationship.
Recently, Iggy talked to People Magazine about how her albums delay, and how her former relationship affected her music.
Her sophomore album, ‘Digital Distortion’, was slated to release in July, but she said, “I mean, you wake up one morning and your fiancé is having a baby with someone else, you’re going to need some time, right?”
The breakup also caused a different feel for the rapper as she quickly went from being engaged to being single. She continued, “I’m single now. I want to have sexy songs. I want to say stuff about being single. I obviously didn’t write that on my original album because when I wrote it I was about to get married … I don’t want to go and promote my album and get asked about my relationship that has just crumbled.”
Nonetheless, the “Fancy” rapper has seemed to be getting back to herself.
Since her breakup Iggy has been spotted out various times with fellow rapper French Montana. The two never confirmed their relationship as other than just friends, but photos of them locking lips in Cabo earlier this summer has us thinking otherwise.
Iggy is expected to drop her album in January, but until then she’ll continue to add the finishing touches.
