Whew! Things continue to turn ugly between Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert. The former athlete has reportedly filed a motion requesting that his ex be thrown in jail for allegedly violating their divorce deal. The violation apparently stems from Taylor recently taking to Instagram Live, where she sounded off on her legal proceedings with Shumpert. And by the look of things, the former NBA star did not appreciate her spilling about the case or their “settlement.”

Report Alleges Iman Shumpert Is Accusing Teyana Of Violating Their Divorce Deal
According to In Touch, Iman reportedly filed the motion in court on Monday, May 5, accusing Teyana of breaking their July 2024 divorce agreement by running her mouth on IG Live back in March. The ‘Gonna Love Me’ singer had hopped on the platform in an attempt to set the record straight about their legal drama. But Iman apparently wasn’t feeling the information she was putting out there. In court docs, he’s reportedly claiming Teyana “willfully and contemptuously” aired out private details about their settlement. She had allegedly put his finances, privacy, and even their kids’ safety at risk, the motion reads.
Iman says Teyana’s Live session hurt his feelings, his pockets, and his public reputation. Now, he’s reportedly asking the court to punish her with criminal contempt and a $1,000 fine. Additionally, he reportedly wants her to serve up to 20 days in JAIL for going full-on public with their divorce drama.

But Shumpert wasn’t done as he touched on co-parenting issues with his ex as well. He’s coming for Teyana’s parenting skills, claiming she’s been bad-mouthing him in front of their daughters, Junie and Rue Rose. And Teyana’s behavior is allegedly stressing the kids out so much that they’re stuck playing “peacemaker” between their parents, the docs allege.
Additionally, Shumpert also threw in a specific incident, alleging Teyana blocked him from picking the kids up from school on April 17. And if that wasn’t enough, he further mentioned how TT had allegedly pulled the girls out of school without any reason.
Teyana Taylor Took Things To Court Shortly After Her IG Live
Now, Roomies, don’t think Teyana’s sitting back, taking all this shade lightly. Teyana hasn’t responded to Iman’s latest reported court filing, but she did respond to claims in March, accusing her of seeking a contempt petition to jail him first. At the time, TMZ reported that Teyana was over the “false claims” about how her divorce ended, prompting her to speak out. She even clarified there was no “settlement” in her split, since the court already decided who would get what.
Per the aforementioned publication, Teyana called out Iman for allegedly feeding negative stories about her to the press, especially when she’s been out here glowing. Case in point… her slayage at an Oscars after-party in February with actor Aaron Pierre. But Teyana says the media conveniently started pushing fake divorce narratives again shortly after. She doesn’t believe it was a coincidence either.
But TT made it clear in her Instagram Live that she never demanded jail time against the father of her children. “How would that benefit me?” she asked viewers before going off on the entire situation in greater detail.
