Amid all of the chatter about the viral TikTok livestream with Nas and Maggi, he shared a post on Instagram the following day addressing the backlash. In a video, he admitted that his behavior was “disgusting” and claimed he couldn’t bring himself to watch the whole clip. Nas also said he had been intoxicated at the time and claimed he did not realize Maggie had a disability.
“I want to sincerely apologize to Maggie, her friends, her family, anybody else that has seen that video, seen me act in that manner,” he said. “I was overly intoxicated. I have yet to watch that video in its entirety. I watched about 18 seconds and cut it off. What really made me realize the drinking needed to stop was waking up the next morning and not remembering a lot of what happened.”
