Back in 2013, actor #PaulWalker passed away leaving the production team to find a way to complete the Fast & Furious 7 movie. That’s when his brothers Caleb and Cody stepped in to help recreate their brother’s image through the use of CGI and their work provided some closure for the cast and for Walker’s fans. During a recent sit-down with Entertainment Tonight, the. Dithers opened up about honoring the Paul Walker legacy which may include his return to the #Fast8 movie.
“I had a phone call with Vin for about an hour and we really discussed this a while back. He wanted [our] blessing,” Caleb Walker said. He added that Vin Diesel asked if and when his family might think it “would be acceptable to maybe bring Paul’s character back… to really kind of let his fans know he’s still out there.” Cody Walker mentioned that Universal just wants to make sure that they’re being respectful of Paul and his family should they move forward with anything.
If the Walker family decides not to allow the production team to use CGI with Cody and Caleb again, then they can either never speak about his character again, which would be impossible considering how close they all were on camera and in real life, or the rest of the cast can simply reference him in various scenes. The only thing is that Jordan’s Brewster, who plays Brian O’Conner’s wife in the series, is casted in Fast 8. Foreshadowing? Maybe!
