Back in June, Israel Houghton was sued by the Texas State Attorney General’s Child Support Division in order to determine how much child support he should pay for two children he allegedly fathered outside of his marriage to his now ex-wife, Meleasa Houghton. They also asked the court to determine whether or not both back and current child support, as well as medical expenses, and health insurance needed to be covered by Houghton.
As of this week, the case has been thrown out and the children’s mother, DeVawn Moreno, tells Bossip that it was due to misleading information.
“The suit was dropped because of misleading information,” she said in an email. “Our children are well taken care of as it always has been.”

“Reps for the state’s highest law enforcement office appeared in Harris County Family Court in Texas Dec. 6 for a child support hearing, known as “Title IV-D,” where they asked a judge to list the case as “nonsuited,” which meant the state no longer wanted to pursue the case. A judge later signed off on stopping the case from moving forward and effectively terminated it, a rep from the Harris County Superior Court told us. Houghton did not appear.”
Houghton’s attorneys alleged that their client already supports these boys financially and was never served with a lawsuit in the first place. Now that this myth is behind him, Israel can enjoy his new marriage to Adrienne Bailon, or should we say Adrienne Houghton.
