Issa Rae Officially Announces Premiere Date For “Insecure” Season 4 With Hilarious Video

#Roommates, it’s been a long time coming but the wait is officially almost over. Issa Rae finally gave fans an update of the fourth season of her HBO hit series “Insecure”—and let’s just say that you should keep your April calendar open to make sure you don’t miss the premiere.

It’s been over a year since fans got to check in on Issa, her love life and her crew courtesy of her popular show, “Insecure.” This was of course, due to Issa Rae’s increasingly demanding movie career, which delayed the filming of the show’s fourth season. All that is behind us because not is the new season coming—but it’s closer than most of us were expecting.

Posting a hilarious video to her Instagram of her “Insecure” character rapping along in the mirror, we get a peek at how things are going for Issa through the song’s lyrics. However, the best part is the end of the video, when it’s revealed that season four will premiere on Sunday, April 12th.

Last July, Issa announced that the new season of “Insecure” would begin shooting in September 2019—and she has provided updates since then, most notably the cute video reveal that Kerry Washington will be directing an episode. The fourth season will have ten episodes, which is the show’s largest episode number ever, up from the usual eight episodes of Seasons 1-3.

To tide you over until the “Insecure” premiere, Issa is starring in the romantic drama “The Photograph,” which hits theaters on Valentine’s Day.

Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
