Just when you thought it was over, Lifetime is back again with another part of their “Surviving R. Kelly” series, this time around they are calling part two, “The Reckoning.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new part of the series will premiere on January 2nd and will span over a total of six-hours, running for two hours a night, over the course of three nights, concluding on January 4th.
This time viewers will get to see interviews from different people and their perspective on the accusations against R. Kelly, and the effects of part one of the docuseries, which aired earlier this year. Some of the people that will appear in the series time around include new survivors, supporters, Damon Dash, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Angela Yee, State’s Attorney for Cook Country Kimberly M. Foxx, and many others.
However, one interview that definitely will attract viewers, is the interview from Dominique Gardner, who was seen being rescued by her mother during the first part of the series.
Since the premiere of the “Surviving R. Kelly” docuseries, earlier this year, there is a lot that has been going on. As many of you may know, the series caused authorities to revisit the accusations against R. Kelly. Now he is currently sitting behind bars and fighting multiple charges.
The success of the first part of “Surviving R. Kelly,” not only drew in millions of viewers but also made the project and award-winning series.
