Janet Jackson will be honored at this year’s Black Girls Rock! Award Show.
According to Billboard, Janet will receive the rock star award, as she’ll be honored as a “phenomenal woman in music.” Janet took to social media and said, “Thank u so much @blackgirlsrock ????✨ I’m truly honored and excited. See u soon.”
Other recipients for this year’s award show include Mary J. Blige, who will be honored with the star power award. Naomi Campbell will receive the black girl magic award and Judith Jamison will be honored with the living legend award.
As we previously reported, Queen Latifah will be hosting this year’s award show, which airs on BET September 9th.
