Jania Meshell took to the internet to get a few things off her chest, as many questioned if she and basketball star Dejounte Murray had officially called it quits.
Over the weekend, rumors began circulating online after fans noticed that Jania Meshell and Dejounte Murray had removed photos of each other from their social media accounts. The move sparked speculation across the internet, with followers flooding their comment sections to question whether the couple was still together.
Between Jania attending her ex, NBA YoungBoys concert, and Dejounte Murray sharing cryptic posts of his own, many didnt know what to believe.
While the internet continued buzzing with breakup speculation, Jania Meshell hopped on live and directly put every lingering rumor to rest. On live, she stated, What yall not about to see is me with nobody for a long time. As long as I was in a relationship what, 3 years? [That’s] as long as Imma be single.
When a commenter asked if they could take her on a date, she quickly refused, making it clear this era is about her.
She also took to X with a series of cryptic tweets. She tweeted, “People try to f* over you in the worst way s*** sad fr,” seemingly hinting at lingering pain and betrayal. Alongside that post, she shared several reposts about being hurt deeply by people and refusing to forgive after things went too far.
Jania also reportedly took to her Instagram story to shut down rumors that her ex, boxer Devin Haney, was the father of her and Dejounte Murrays baby girl, Icelynn. She wrote, The last day I saw Devin[,] Icelynn was born 2023 I didnt know you could hold a baby that long.In another post, she added, So when did I have time to see another ni*** when I was with the same person EVERY SINGLE DAY? Like fr dont pmo but I guess yall got people questioning oh well its cool shell be ok.
Fans quickly gathered under The Shade Room Teens to try and decode Janias post. While some expressed they are happy to see her move on and heal, others speculated whether her attendance at NBA YoungBoys concert added fuel to her split with Dejounte Murray. Despite her post, many followers still want clarity on what truly caused their breakup.
