Cam Newton Explains Why He Needed Jasmin’s List Of Ex-Partners
Roommies, we’ve all likely heard of the body count convo couples sometimes have when entering a new relationship. For the former athlete, that wasn’t enough! During their sit-down, Cam Newton explained to Parker McKenna that he needed a list of names, and Jasmin Brown complied! He repeated, “I needed to know” before breaking down his thought process.
“I want to know because before I sit up here and really keep moving and elevating our relationship, I wanna know who got one up on me and if I’m willing to take on that burden. Why I wanna know? If you had any type of relationship, intimacy, experiences that I really know, I need to know that. I’m owed that…,” Cam Newton said.
He said not knowing Jasmin’s list puts him in a position to be in a room with someone who knows more about his woman than he does. When Parker called him a “special man” for being able to accept the truth, he further explained his POV.
“That has nothing to do with insecurity. This is what I want women to understand. If she had been with somebody that was close to me, I would’ve had to respectfully, I’m not there yet. I can’t carry that weight yet. You’re cool, you’re beautiful…but baby that’s my teammate, we see each other too much.”
Newton said that knowledge would impact his ego and that a man’s ego determines the direction of his relationship.
Jasmin Reacts To Cam Spilling Her Bedroom Tea
While social media was riled up over Cam Newton’s demands, Jasmin Brown appeared unbothered! She slid into the IG comment section of the podcast clip, dropped a laughing emoticon and cleared the air on where she stands.
“I actually love the fact he has my list! Such a weight off my chest,” Jasmin wrote about Cam Newton.
As mentioned, Cam is not new to spilling his relationship business during interviews. In the last year or so, he stirred the pot when he openly spoke about wanting more children but shut down the idea of getting married. For context, Newton has eight children and stepchildren by three different women, including Jasmin. She and he welcomed their first, a daughter, in March 2022—about two years into their relationship.
