While many people are looking for a boo this cuffing season, it looks like others are calling it quits. According to Jason Derulo, he and the mother of his child, Jena Frumes, have decided to end their relationship.
Jason tweeted, “Jena and I have decided to part ways. She is an amazing mother but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best version of ourselves and the best parents we could be.” He continued to ask for privacy, “[Please] respect our privacy in this time.”
Earlier this month, the two appeared at a wedding together. They posed for a photo posted on Jena’s page with a caption that read, “Love is in the air.”
As the news of their breakup spread, people had a few things to say.
One person stated, “They’ll be back together on TikTok.” Another person stated, “I think it’s a publicity stunt because there is no way!!! [He’s] probably about [to] make a new song or reveal the baby’s face [eye emoji]”
Someone else wrote, “I really had hope for them.”
As you know, the two welcomed a baby boy back in May.
For the announcement, Jena posted some heartfelt words about their son underneath a sweet photo.
“A glimpse of my first week with our healthy handsome little king. Life now has so much more meaning [and] I am so grateful. I’m so so so in love with this little boy he’s everything I never knew I needed👶🏽🙏🏽 05/08/2021✨. I love you forever @jasonderulo,” she wrote.
As we previously reported, Jason Derulo believed he was having a son because Jena’s baby bump was “sitting kinda low and it looks like a ball.” Meanwhile, Jena believed she was having a daughter because she was “clumsy and moody.”
In the post on Instagram of the couple announcing their initial baby news, Jason wrote “Couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter in our life @jenafrumes.”
Jason Derulo and Jena Frumes began dating last year after meeting at the gym just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
