Jay-Z & His Lawyer Respond To New Jane Doe Claims
According to NBC News, the woman who accused Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs of assault admitted there were some slip-ups in her story on Friday, Dec. 12. In a new interview with NBC News, she said she “made some mistakes” when recalling details from the night of the incident. Even with the inconsistencies about the alleged incident from 24 years ago, NBC News notes that doesn’t automatically mean her claims are false.
Jay and Roc Nation had some words in response to the woman’s claims. The award-winning musician made it clear that the incident didn’t go down and firmly stated, “Justice is coming.”
“Today’s investigative report proves this “attorney” Buzbee filed a false complaint against me in the pursuit of money and fame. This incident didn’t happen and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press. True Justice is coming. We fight FROM victory, not FOR victory. This was over before it began. This 1-800 lawyer doesn’t realize it yet, but soon,” Jay-Z said in his latest statement.
Jay’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, also released a statement reacting to Jane Doe and called out her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, who initially filed the lawsuit on her behalf.
“It is stunning that a lawyer would not only file such a serious complaint without proper vetting, but would make things worse by further peddling this false story in the press. We are asking the Court to dismiss this frivolous case today, and will take up the matter of additional discipline for Mr. Buzbee and all the lawyers that filed the complaint,” Alex Spiro added.

To recap, TSR reported on Dec. 8 that the internet erupted after Jay-Z responded to a lawsuit filed by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee on behalf of Jane Doe. In the suit, the woman accuses Jay-Z and Diddy of sexually assaulting her over 20 years ago. TMZ revealed that court documents note that Jane Doe was 13 years old when the alleged incident occurred. Initially, she anonymously filed the suit in October, naming only Diddy. But on Dec. 8, she refiled adding Jay-Z’s name.
As soon as the news hit social media platforms, Jay-Z responded to the allegations in a lengthy statement. The rap legend called out Tony Buzbee’s credibility, maintained his innocence, and expressed how deeply hurt he was for his wife, Beyoncé, and their kids.
“What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No, sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!! These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case,” Jay-Z said via his statement.
