Jay-Z’s Mention Of The Kardashians On DMX’s ‘Exodus’ Album Has People Talking!

Jay-Z is one of the many iconic features on DMX’s posthumous album and with a reputation like Jigga’s its normal for his bars to spark some debate! One line from his verse on “Bath Salts” drew a lot of attention to the track, which also features Nas, after Jay mentioned one of the most famous families to date–The Kardashians.

At the start of the song, Jay references the family in some word play that may have gone over some fans’ heads. Regardless, the bar, which refers to a non-specified Kardashian as the “queen of the come up” has become a viral moment that has people talking all over social media.

They like me like that, every girl I see wanna be wifey like that,” he began. “I’m the King of the Zumunda, King of the summer, come be my Kardashian, queen of the come up.”

Fans across Twitter began to dissect the line, trying to decipher if Jay was simply telling the truth or if he was throwing major shade at the Kardashian clan for how some of their careers started. If you’ve heard the song, you’ll notice that Jay-Z did not specify which sister he was speaking about, but some fans have assumed Kim is the target of the bar.

“I don’t think Jay-Z’s Kardashian line was bad,” one fan wrote. “His word play always goes over y’all head cause y’all simply minded. Kardashians are the queens of come ups look how they got started. Y’all making it messy as always!”

On the contrary, some fans were not feeling Jay’s use of the words “queen” and “Kardashian” in the same sentence, and immediately came to the defense of Beyonce!
