Jennifer Hudson has definitely been on fire lately. Following her remarkable tribute to Prince at this year’s BET Awards, it was announced that the songstress signed a new record deal with Epic Records.
It seems with everything going great musically, things are about get better when it comes her film career.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-winning actress signed on to be in Adam Sandler’s next Netflix film, “Sandy Wexler.” This is the third out of a four-movie deal between Sandler’s “Happy Madison Productions” and Netflix.
Set in the 1990’s, Hudson will be playing the role of Courtney Clarke, a singer discovered by a talent agent played by Sandler.
The film will start shooting in Los Angeles on August 2nd and will release on Netflix in 2017.
