Well, Roomies, it looks like it is officially the end of JLo and ARod! Last month, rumors began to swirl about a possible breakup between Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, which ARod quickly shut down while speaking with TMZ. A source close to the situation claimed the two were just working through some issues, but it looks like they decided to just call it quits.
In an exclusive statement to the Today Show, Jennifer and Alex have confirmed that they are parting ways after their four year relationship and two year engagement. The two said they are going to focus on handling business and being friends.
“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” the statement read. “We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has send kind words and support.”
Social media went wild after the rumors spread like wildfire across the internet, but ARod and JLo said they were just working through things at the time. The rumors, however, picked up again this week after Jennifer posted a series of photos and her engagement ring was nowhere in sight.
Jennifer and Alex got engaged back in 2019 in a romantic setting in the Bahamas, and JLo opened up about the bond she and ARod shared.
“He’s brought something to my life that I’ve never had before, which is an unconditional support and love, kind of a matching of twin should,” she told TODAY.
