Jhené Aiko finally broke her silence early Saturday (November 8) amid the internet discussing her past and present love life. The singer slid into The Shade Room’s comment section to address narratives about her former marriage to producer Dot Da Genius. Meanwhile, Big Sean has given at least two statements this week as fans debate whether his relationship with Jhené is over.

Big Sean Steps In To Defend Jhené Aiko
Earlier this week, Big Sean wasted no time shutting down rumors that he’s got a new boo. Videos and photos from a livestream with N3on appeared to show a mystery woman standing super close to the rapper. But that was just one POV! Big Sean later explained that he’s “never met” the woman. In the comment section of an IG blog, he wrote, “The girl was standing next to @hitboy who is cut out the video. I don’t know why the f*** she was close to me though. I didn’t see it at all til I saw this video and can understand the frustrations.”
Still, it seems as if fans (and critics) weren’t buying Big Sean’s first statement. Social media users have continued to sound off about whether Big Sean and Jhené Aiko called it quits. Some, like X user @Shadaya_Knight, have even began digging into Aiko’s past, throwing around allegations of cheating on her part. For example, on Nov. 7 that same user penned multiple paragraphs claiming that Aiko cheated on Dot Da Genius, kissed of Big Sean in public and tatted his face on her body–all while still married.
“The poor guy eventually decided to call it quits; the embarrassment was too much. And Jhene was now free to date her handsome rap superstar boyfriend Big Sean. But Big Sean never popped the question, because he understands game. Lesson: When a woman cheats another man to be with you, she’ll cheat on you too. Once a cheater always a cheater. Never marry a cheater,” @Shadaya_Knight alleged.
After Big Sean peeped the X post, he made it clear he doesn’t like “the energy” toward his son’s mother. The couple share a son named Noah Hasani, who is celebrating his third birthday today (November 8).
“On some real sh*t, I don’t like this energy. I don’t mind whoever saying wild shit about me cause I have a sense of humor n dont give a f*ck. It’s Frustrating havin people say negative things towards her, though. God Bless,” Big Sean wrote.
Jhené Addresses Comments About Her Ex-Marriage & Dating Big Sean
Big Sean and Jhené Aiko have been on-and-off since 2016, when they first dropped their collab album ‘Twenty88,’ per PEOPLE. Despite public flirting in music and on stages, they’ve kept most of their romance, including their breaks, private. In November 2022, they welcomed Noah, their only child together. Up to this point amid the breakup rumors, neither of them have clearly stated whether their relationship is over.
However, after The Shade Room reposted Big Sean’s latest clapback, Jhené Aiko slid in the comment section. She didn’t respond to the rapper’s comments or questions about their status. Instead, she cleared the air on her ex-husband’s character and why their marriage ended. Her fans, in particular, have claimed Dot Da Genius abused her, while her critics have said she cheated.
“Let’s wrap this up! Me and Dot eloped in Vegas after a few months of dating while I was still grieving the death of my brother. Dot did not abuse me and is not a bad guy. We had a short back and forth on Twitter that created rumors, but ultimately separated amicably due to the realization we were practically strangers who made an impulsive decision,” Jhené Aiko wrote.
Additionally, Jhené explained that she and Big Sean got together after “years of an amazing friendship.” She then said they have “an incredible, brilliant, beautiful baby boy” and acknowledged his birthday.
“Happy Birthday to our baby boy Noah, to whom Sean is great, loving and present father to and is loved by the greatest village a mother could ask for,” she commented. “Love and GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
