John Legend Joins ‘The Voice’ As A Coach For Season 16

John Legend’s resume continues to grow. This time around he’ll serve as a coach for the 16th season of “The Voice.”

According to Variety, he will take over the coaching position that is currently being held by Jennifer Hudson for the show’s 15th season, which airs later this month. The 16th season will launch during the spring as John is scheduled to join the returning judges Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton.

He said, “I’m thrilled to join the coaches of ‘The Voice,’ I’ve been a guest and mentor on the show multiple times and I’m so excited to discover talented singers and help them make the most of their gift. I hope the world is ready for #TeamJL.”

As we previously reported, John made history as he became the first African American man to join the very elite group of EGOT winners.

Congrats to John Legend on his new gig!
