Jonathan Majors will be heading to trial for his domestic violence case following a court appearance Tuesday (June 20). Furthermore, the actor was joined by Meagan Good at the appearance, video shows.

Jonathan Majors Heading To Trial, Pictured With Meagan Good At Court Hearing Tuesday
The 33-year-old ‘Creed III’ actor appeared with Good as they exited Manhattan Criminal Court Tuesday morning in a video obtained by the Associated Press. The couple could be seen holding hands while flanked by Majors’ attorneys.
Judge Rachel S. Pauley set a trial date of Aug. 3 during Tuesday’s hearing. She also ordered Majors to continue to abide by the court’s restraining order for the alleged victim in the case.
The Shade Room reported in March that Majors had been arrested and charged with several misdemeanor domestic assault, strangulation, and harassment charges.
The arrest stems from accusations from his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, 30. Jabbari reportedly told police he hit and choked her. Majors is facing up to a year in prison if convicted, according to the Associated Press.

Meanwhile, in a statement released Tuesday, Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry said that the actor’s legal team has provided “compelling evidence” of Majors’ innocence.
“Within a few weeks of these false allegations, we provided the District Attorney with evidence of Mr. Majors’ innocence. Last week, we delivered additional compelling evidence to the District Attorney,” Chaudhry said, per PEOPLE.
Chaudhry continued: “Following this, we strongly requested the District Attorney dismiss all charges against Mr. Majors immediately… While we are hopeful that the District Attorney is reviewing these materials in good faith and will do the right thing soon, to accelerate our case, we’ve requested a trial date ASAP.”
Among that evidence “(includes) video proof showing nothing happened,” according to Chaudhry.
Fans, Friends Respond To Meagan Good’s Relationship With Jonathan Majors
Before Tuesday’s appearance, the pair were most recently seen traveling together from NYC to Los Angeles on May 20.

Social media blasted the actress for getting close to the MCU star despite the domestic assault accusations.

Fans of Good had flooded her Instagram comments with their reactions to the alleged news report after it was revealed in May and demanded answers.
However, she does have the blessing of her ex-husband, DeVon Franklin, in her new relationship with Majors. Good’s “Cousin Skeeter” co-star Robert Ri’chard similarly defended her relationship with Majors.
Last week, Ri’chard told TMZ that “she’s a godly woman, so we have nothing to worry about.”
“I think that she’s one of the most iconic people on the planet — I mean, we love Meagan Good. I think the entire world does, and we certainly use her as a standard for what beauty is, inside and out. And she’s a godly woman, so we have nothing to worry about…”
