Issa No! Third Judge Blocks Diddy From Going Free Ahead Of 2025 Trial (UPDATE)

Whew! Just ahead of Thanksgiving, the third try wasn’t the charm for Diddy. Sean Combs will remain locked up in Brooklyn’s Metro Detention Center until the start of his trial in 2025. According to the Associated Press, a third judge has denied Diddy bail.

Here’s Why Another Judge Denied Diddy Bail

The ruling came down on Wednesday (Nov. 27), and the judge cited concerns about Sean Combs threatening the case. In five pages, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian explained that Diddy poses a “serious risk” to witnesses and evidence. As previously reported, a search of his cell at MDC resulted in officials finding prohibited communications. That information was included in last week’s bail hearing.

Ahead of it, prosecutors accused Diddy of using family members to try to shift the public perception of him and allegedly influence a future jury pool. The prosecution cited his viral FaceTime call with his kids for his 55th birthday. Meanwhile, the producer’s lawyers tried to argue that there was no way Diddy would be a flight or intimidation risk with a $50 million bail package on the line. Ultimately, the judge disagreed with his defense and sided with prosecutors. “There is compelling evidence of Combss propensity for violence,”Judge Arun Subramanian wrote.

“The Court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community,” the judge added.

As mentioned, in the last few weeks since Diddy’s arrest in September, two other judges also agreed that Diddy would be a danger on bail. He previously pleaded not guilty to charges related to racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. His trial is on the books to start on May 5. At this time, his lawyers have not publicly commented on the ruling.
