Whew! Roomies, somethin’ must be in the air because everybody is splitting up! TMZ reports that Judge Greg Mathis’ wife, Linda Reese, has filed for divorce after 39 years of marriage.
TMZ confirmed that Linda Reese filed for divorce from Judge Greg Mathis on Thursday, August 22.
Linda cited July 17 as the date of separation and listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
The outlet also revealed that Linda is seeking spousal support and has requested the court prevent Judge Mathis from receiving it. Furthermore, it remains unclear whether they signed a prenup during their marriage.
The Roommates quickly reacted to Linda’s divorce filing from Judge Mathis under The Shade Room’s Instagram report. Many commented that after 39 years, the couple should try to work things out instead of splitting.

Lastly, Instagram user @__.janaii wrote, “38 years , girl wheres the marriage counselor.”
Per TMZ, Judge Mathis and Linda married in 1985. They have four children Amir, Jade, Greg Jr., and Camara.
The couple shared their family life and marriage on their show, ‘Mathis Family Matters,’ which debuted in June 2022. The reality series ended after one season in August 2022.
Judge Mathis is primarily known for his record as the longest-running active judge on a court show, with 24 seasons starting in 1999 and ending in July 2023.
