Roommates, I know you guys remember Judge Glenda Hatchett! She had her own court tv show back in 2000 which ran for almost 8 years! Well, just like many of us, she has been perplexed by the increase of unjustified murders of Black peoples at the hands of police and yesterday, she and the Hatchett Law Firm announced that they would be representing the family Philando Castile.
In a statement, the 65 year old former Chief Justice of Fulton County Juvenile Court said, “I am deeply concerned about what seems to be an epidemic of African-American men being killed by police officers.” She continued, “We have often seen demonstrations and debates and I raise the critical question, ‘When will there be systemic reform?'”
When will we see systemic reform? It appears as though many people of all races are finally starting to understand that there is an actual problem with systematic racism in the Black community, so hopefully the protests will bring justice this time around.
