Judge Mathis is currently under investigation after reports allege he spit in a valet attendant’s face! Now we know he doesn’t play in the courtroom, but the parking lot may be a different story.
According to TMZ, Judge Mathis left his Rolls Royce with a valet attendant outside of a restaurant and when he returned, things got heated. TMZ says the attendant had Judge wait about 15 minutes for his vehicle, causing him to become upset.
Ultimately, the valet attendant says Judge Mathis continues to become angrier, and proceeded to spit in his face before pulling off in his double R. Now, the valet has filed police report alleging criminal assault against him.
Despite the story being told on his end, Judge says his name is Bennett and he ain’t in it, okay!
In a video interview with TMZ, Mathis tells his side of the story, and it definitely doesn’t sound anything like what the attendant said. In fact, nothing adds up at all!
Judge says the attendant had the keys to his vehicle and kept him waiting for about 40 minutes before he came over with various excuses as to why the process was taking so long.
He says the attendant apologized for the wait, but proceeded to point out that he used Mathis’ vehicle to go to the store, and that’s when things got turnt up.
Judge says he did get verbal with him in front of many witnesses, but did not spit on him.
“We had a little verbal back and forth and that was the extent of it,” he says. “There was no spitting. There were six witnesses there if anybody wants to ask them.”
As far as the reasoning behind the valet attendant making such allegations, Judge says it could be an attempt to get a bag!
“I don’t know if this is a money grab,” he says. “But it could be, it happens all the time.”
We hope we don’t have to see Judge on the other side of the courtroom anytime soon!
