Judge Reportedly Gives Mendeecees Harris Permission To Travel To Dubai In Order To Renew Wedding Vows To Yandy Smith

According to @TMZ_tv, Mendeecees HarrisYandy Smith are one step closer to renewing their wedding vows.

The site reports that a judge has given Harris permission to travel to Dubai in May to renew his wedding vows to Yandy, according to legal docs.

“According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ … the “Love & Hip Hop New York” star got a federal judge to sign off on his request to travel to Dubai for a few days later in May so he can renew his vows.”

If you recall, the two had a wedding ceremony in 2015, but Yandy later revealed she never sent off the paperwork.

Most recently, the “Love and Hip Hop” stars hashed out their issues on an episode of VH1’s “Couples Retreat,” in which they addressed their trust issues surrounding Mendeecees’ time in prison.

They touched on prison being an insecurity for Harris after Smith said, “I feel like when he was locked up, I was locked up.”

Yandy asked, “If the roles were reversed, would you hold me down?” Harris responded with, “I don’t know.”

During a confessional, Yandy responded to Harris’ revelation saying, “So, Mendeecees finally admitted that he doesn’t know if he would stay if the roles were reversed and that’s so hurtful…but to hear him sit here in my face and be like ‘I don’t know’ like that’s so unfair.”

Harris received backlash and attempted to clarify his response. He posted a statement that read in part, “I never said I wouldn’t have held Yandy down. I felt like I didn’t want to say what everybody wanted me to say because it sounds good and salacious.” He continued, “What I meant was: you don’t know what you’ll do until you’re in that situation…”
