Julia Fox and Kanye West’s relationship may have been over just as quickly as it started, but the mother-of-one wants you to know that she is the one responsible for calling it quits.
In an interview with the New York Times, Julia, 32, discussed details of her relationship with the superstar. Julia stated she wondered how Kanye, 44, would fit into her already busy life after meeting him in December of 2021. “I tried my best to make it work,” she said. “I already had a jam-packed life. How do I fit this really big personality into this already full life? It just wasn’t sustainable.” Fox added, “I lost like 15 pounds in that month.”
When asked if the relationship was real or a publicity stunt, she replied, “I mean, there were definitely elements of it that were real.”
As far as labeling their relationship, the actress stated she felt like she was “cast” for a role. “It definitely felt like I was his girlfriend,” the Uncut Gems star stated. “But it also felt like I was being cast in the role of his girlfriend — and he was casting me. He was the orchestrator of it all. It really did feel like a movie,” Fox added.
While saying she’s not worried about the “ultimate stunt queen” (what she calls Kanye West in the interview), telling her personal business, Fox stated, “I don’t think that he would want to open that door with me. If you come for me, I’m going to come for you,” expressed the Italian native. “And I’m really good at coming for people. I just go straight for the jugular. I don’t think he would be dumb enough to do that.”
Ending just before Valentine’s Day, Fox also stated that the relationship was good exposure for her, since she was ready to “re-enter society.” She told the publication, “Look at the big picture. That was amazing for me. The exposure was priceless.” She continued, “But I do think eventually I’ll surpass the Kanye narrative. Believe it or not, Kanye’s not the most interesting thing that’s ever happened to me.”
