Here’s What Laila Ali Said About Getting In The Ring With Claressa
If you’ve been out of the loop, let us put you on game. The whole idea of a match between Laila and Claressa popped off after Laila said in an interview that’s only down to fight if there’s a $15 to $20 million bag on the table. If not, don’t even bother hitting her line.
“Unless somebody calls me and says they have it, we not even going to have a conversation,” Ali added. “I’m not trying to come back and fight, but if someone offered that kind of money. I would actually have to think about it.”
Claressa wasted no time clapping back on X (formerly Twitter), letting Laila know she’s been ready to get things and she’s not backing down. “What a great weekend of boxing 🥊! Really motivated! Now @TheRealLailaAli I’m the GREATEST NOW! Be careful what you ask for ! You know I’ve been wanting to make you eat your words! You not a better boxer than me & at 175 I’ll put you on your back! BEEN READY FOR YOU! #GWOAT #claressashields,” Claressa wrote on X.
