K. Michelle has confirmed the identity of her husband, Dr. Kastan Sims, with a heartfelt post about their romance.
Earlier this week, K. Michelle took to Instagram to share a video post with her more than 8.3 million followers. Furthermore, the post featured background audio of her song, ‘Love Language.’ Additionally, it featured a romantic clip of her alongside Dr. Kastan Sims. Specifically, the clip showed them dancing at a silent headphone party. Additionally, the video also featured various photos of her and Sims over the years.
“See I dont usually do this. Thank you Dr.Sims. I love you and Im happy to be your wife. I know Ive driven you insane but Im worth it. Its time to plan a wedding. Who wouldve thought. Been in love with you since Junior High School,” K. Michelle captioned the clip.

Social media users immediately hopped into TSR’s comment section with reactions to K. Michelle confirming Dr. Kastan Sims as her husband.
Some may remember Dr. Kastan Sims from when he and K. Michelle reportedly went public with their romance in 2016. According to Bossip, Dr. Sims worked as a general dentist in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, and graduated from Meharry Medical School. Furthermore, in 2020, he and K. apparently laid their plans to begin having children. That year, the singer told Essence that she would be undergoing IVF to conceive twin girls.
“Yes. Im doing genetic editing, which means Im able to pick the gender of my children. I knew that I wanted girls, and I knew I wanted twinsI just told my fianc, I said, ‘Looky here, if three take, well, we got three!'” she reportedly told the outlet, per Bossip.
Then, in 2022, the outlet reports that Dr. Sims and K. Michelle appeared on ‘Marriage Bootcamp.’
Then, in August of this year, K. Michelle seemingly revealed that she was married, per The Shade Room. However, it was unclear whether she and Dr. Sims were still together. Furthermore, at the time, she revealed that she was “under pressure” to give her “husband a baby.”
Then, later that month, K. opened up about why it took her husband “a decade” to marry her. To note, since August, K. has referred to Dr. Sims as her husband but has mentioned that they are still planning their wedding.
