Kai Cenat Took To X With A Message For Critics

On Tuesday, Kai Cenat took to X, this time addressing the criticism he received after speaking about mental health on his 24th Birthday.  The streamer admitted the love meant a lot, but the negative feedback showed why many hesitate to speak openly.

“I was honestly gonna save what I gotta say for when I’m ready to come back, but right now something is telling me to speak up. I’m not sad, I’m not depressed, but I need to bring awareness to mental health after some of the feedback I’ve been seeing.”

Kai acknowledged the overwhelming support he received but said the negative reactions revealed why many people stay silent. He added that sharing his experience with self-doubt and fear felt necessary, especially given his platform and ability to encourage others. Reflecting on his demanding schedule, Kai Cenat revealed that constant streaming caused him to lose touch with reality at times.

“I realized I was losing touch of reality… I wasn’t even spending as much time with close friends and family behind the scenes as I wanted to.”

Kai Cenat Opens Up About Finding & Courage Through Anime

As Kai Cenat continued to tweet, he took supporters further into his journey. He shared how anime unexpectedly became a source of comfort during a difficult time. Kai explained that he once thought anime was “weird” and never made time to watch it. However, he quickly realized it helped him escape reality and connect with personal stories.

“Anime has always been something I wanted to get into, but I never had the time. When I finally watched, it took me into another world I could relate to. In a way, it felt like it was speaking directly to me.”

He shared that ‘Death Note’ was the first anime that helped take his mind off things. Kai said it brought him genuine happiness during that period. He also explained that anime helped him build courage and shift his mindset. Kai pointed to Naruto as a major source of inspiration. Reflecting on one scene, Kai noted how relatable the characters’ struggles felt.He added that anime has taught him lessons about friendship, helping others, and staying consistent.

“This scene really got me. Everyone in Naruto is going through something behind closed doors but tries to hide it.”
