According to the latest Forbes list, Kanye Wests net worth has significantly increased throughout the past yearand now hes worth an estimated $2 billion.
In just one short year, Kanye West is officially part of the multi-billionaire club, as @Forbes exclusively reports that his net worth has now increased to $2 billion thanks to his highly lucrative music and fashion empires. By having 100% ownership of his popular Yeezy sneaker brand along the multi-million deal with Adidas, Kanyes net worth also increased due to his Yeezy Gap collaboration, which reportedly hit sales of $1 billion in its first yearand led to the recent Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga collection that dropped back in February.
Additionally, Ye reportedly earns close to $180 million annually from his extensive music and production work and owning a percentage of soon-to-be ex-wife Kim Kardashians SKIMS shapewear brand. Just a year ago in April 2021, his net worth was $1.8 billion, but the new estimates from Forbes put him just behind Oprah Winfrey whos worth $2.6 billion. Elsewhere on the billionaires list includes notable names like Michael Jordan ($1.7 billion,) Rihanna ($1.7 billion,) Jay-Z ($1.4 billion) and Tyler Perry with $1 billion.
You may recall that Kanye has disputed Forbes reports of his net worth in past, alleging that the publication has grossly under-reported his finances and that he is worth $6.6 billion instead of what was reported. He further alleged that the reason for Forbes not accurately reporting his net worth is due to personal reasons and not based on actual financial documents.
In other Kanye West news, despite not being allowed to perform at this years Grammys, he took home two awards for Best Rap Song and Best Melodic Rap Performance, bringing his total number of Grammys to 24.
