Now we all know Katy Perry has been doing her thing on American Idol but as far her personal life, she was apparently able to keep under wraps that she’s expecting a baby!
Katy popped up on the Gram late Wednesday night to drop a clip from her new video for her song “Never Worn White” and sis was baby bumpin’!
Katy’s pregnancy reveal had fans shook but she confirmed that this was no gag. She has her first baby on the way with fiance Orlando Bloom. The songs is a nod to Katy’s fears of commitment, while at the same time singing about her readiness for a life of happiness with another person.
“Cause I’ve never worn white/But I wanna get it right/Yeah, I really wanna try with you,” the lyrics go. “No, I’ve never worn white/But I’m standin’ here tonight/Cause I really wanna say ‘I do.’”
During an IG Live after the music video premiered on YouTube, Katy confirmed her pregnancy, saying it is “probably the longest secret” she’s ever had to keep, according to PEOPLE.
“I’m late,” Katy said after promising she’d be on Instagram Live after the video dropped. “But you already knew that.”
Katy said her due date is sometime this summer.
“There’s a lot that will be happing this summer, not only will I be giving birth — literally — but also figuratively to something you guys have been waiting for,” Katy said, referring to her upcoming album.
Katy got engaged to Orlando Bloom on Valentine’s Day 2019. He has a 9-year-old son with his ex-wife, model Miranda Kerr.
