The Oakland native hit her followers with an adorable black-and-white childhood pic, rocking a white dress shirt, black bow tie, and a vest. In the caption, sis got deep, opening up about her struggles with bipolar disorder. “I never saw myself making it to 30 growing up,” she wrote, revealing that 1 in 10 people with BPD die by suicide, and 7 in 10 attempt it. But Kehlani’s story is one of triumph, y’all. She shared how the last year completely flipped her world upside down in the best way, thanks to meds, discipline, sobriety, and her faith in God.
“I’ve had a crazy life… but the last year changed my world,” she shared. Kehlani said she’s left all her old baggage in the dust and is stepping into her 30s feeling “whole, worthy, and ready” for every blessing coming her way. She ended with a powerful message, writing, “She knows it now. Nothing in the way of my peace, my blessings & my relationship with God…Really happy to be alive.”
