Well that wasn’t long! News of Kermit the Frog moving on from longtime girlfriend of 40 years, Miss Piggy, broke the Internet.
Kermit and Miss Piggy announced their split less than a month ago, so it was a surprise to see him close with another woman so quickly!
Kermit still has a business relationship with Miss Piggy and is working with her on her late-night talk show , “Up Late with Miss Piggy,” as well as “The Muppets.”
A source told PEOPLE that Kermit was spending a lot of time with Denise, ABC’s head of marketing. They even said he called her his girlfriend!
Well, Kermit pumped the breaks on those allegations and took to his Twitter to clear the air, like most humans and amphibians do.
“While I prefer to keep my personal life private, this is Hollywood, so who am I kidding?” Kermit said. “It is true that I am dating again. However, at this time no one woman–pig or otherwise–is my official ‘new girlfriend.’ We are simply close friends.”
Seems like he already hit Denise with the curve! Ouch!
Maybe he’s just trying to get Miss Piggy Jealous after her photo with hunk Liam Hemsworth?
Hmmm we shall wait and see!
