Keyshia Cole took the stage at Dreamville Fest on Saturday (April 5) and made the MOST of it! The singer had the energy in Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park feeling like 2005. Fans are still chattin’ about her performance, from her nostalgic hits, twerk moves, stage look, and even a few shady jabs she seemingly threw!

Keyshia Cole Throws Buns & Shade While Performing THIS Classic Track
As mentioned, Keyshia showed out on the first day of Dreamville Fest. Auntie Cole performed in a casual, sporty look. She wore a blue baseball cap with curls flowing down her back, a blue and gray windbreaker jacket, a gray sports bra, and rolled-up great shorts, seemingly the same material as the jacket. Keyshia topped off the look with sneakers!
According to Billboard, the singer’s set honored her album, ‘The Way It Is.’ That project features hits like ‘I Should’ve Cheated’ and ‘Love.’ Cole performed both at Dreamville Fest. During the first song, the singer showed off some moves while also dropping a shady message.
During the song’s first verse, Keyshia hiked her leg onto one of the stage speakers and hit a one-two twerk move. At that point, the song’s lyrics were on the part that goes: “I can’t continue to take this…” A few seconds later, the song moved into the chorus. After the lyrics, “I might as well…,” Keyshia Cole added, “Lied to your b***h a*s.”
Singer Closes Set With ‘Love’ Performance
After a rollercoaster romance with rapper Hunxho in 2024, Keyshia Cole clarified in mid-March that she’s single. At the time, she was out handbag shopping and shared a post on social media about having to spoil herself! “…Not having a Man in my life also sucks… Come pay for these bags BAE,” she wrote in the post. Around the same time, the singer also shared her aspirations for her future relationship after reposting a man’s video about continuing to date once in a relationship.
“Love this Idk why [but I] feel like my next relationship is going to be everything I’ve always imagined it should be… A man who can understands this is a great man! And there will be no nookie until this is in place,” Keyshia said then.
Still, despite her paused love life, Keyshia appeased her fans by closing her Dreamville Fest set with her mega-hit, ‘Love.’ Videos of the performance show the crowd belting all the lyrics!

J. Cole Addresses The End Of Dreamville Fest
Keyshia Cole wasn’t the only R&B icon to hit the stage of the five-time festival. Erykah Badu, Tems, Coco Jones, and Ari Lennox also did their big one at Dreamville Fest. Other performers included but weren’t limited to, stars like Lil Wayne, Partynextdoor, 21 Savage, Ludacris, Bas, GloRilla, Wale, Chief Keef, and Young Nudy.
Two days before Dreamville Fest kicked off, organizers confirmed that it would be the last one under this brand. Sascha Stone Guttfreund said in a press statement that the festival will be there “for years to come.” However, it’s partnering with the city of Raleigh to curate “something new and exciting.” And no worries, festival fans, J. Cole will still be involved, but his hitting the stage won’t be a guarantee. Cole addressed the change during his closing set on Sunday. He admitted that putting on the event is “a lot” but assured fans they will stick it out, even if it looks a lil’ different.
“It might not have the motherf***ing ‘Dreamville Festival’ name on it, but we will be back with this feel. When y’all out here, I don’t know if y’all feel it. But to me, this s**t feel like a cookout, motherf***ing family reunion. It’s so much love in this b***h. It’s so many Black people in this motherf***ing festival.”
