The newest season of ‘The Kardashians’ is all about the tea, chile! In light of becoming a mom again and the unfortunate circumstances surrounding her relationship, Khloe Kardashian has been revealing details about her time with two-timing Tristan Thompson.
In this week’s episode, however, it was KoKo’s sister Kim who revealed that the NBA star proposed to the Good American founder, who wasn’t sold on the idea of a future with him.
The fact that he proposed and you never told us…I asked him months later…the night after I thought it happened and he’s like, ‘Oh I did it months ago. she didn’t tell you guys.?'”
Kim went on to explain that Tristan was initially planning to propose on Valentine’s Day, but ended up going through with it months earlier in December 2021. Coincidentally, that’s the same month that Khloe learned that Tristan had fathered a baby boy with Maralee Nichols.
Fans of the couple know of Koko and Tristan’s tumultuous dating history, and Khloe explained that she was unsure about the engagement due to his past infidelities.
I said I need to make sure that this is a totally different relationship because I wanna be proud to say I’m engaged to anyone. And that’s why I said, I’m not comfortable accepting this right now because I’m not excited to tell my family.”
Khloe made a similar decision in November when she opted against telling her family about conceiving her and Tristan’s second child via surrogacy. A source close to the Kardashian family revealed that Khloe wanted to protect her peace during the pregnancy journey.
Khloe kept the pregnancy a secret to protect surrogate privacy and safety, and to protect her mental health from judgement from the public as a result of Tristan’s actions. Khloe’s hand was forced to confirm the pregnancy before she was ready to announce.”
E! news reportedly broke the news “even before she had the opportunity to personally tell her closest family and friends.” Koko and Tristan’s baby boy was conceived in November, just one month before she learned about baby Theo.
Khloe and Tristan welcomed their second child in early August.
