Roommates, in an unexpected move, Kim Kardashian shocked fans by announcing that she’s decided to officially shut down her multi-million-dollar KKW Beauty brand. In a series of lengthy tweets, Kim Kardashian explained that the brand will shut down in order to undergo a complete rebrand this August.
Kim Kardashian posted the following message on Twitter regarding shutting down KKW Beauty and embarking on a total rebrand:
“On August 1st at midnight we will be shutting down the http://KKWBeauty.com site so that we can come back to you under a completely new brand with new formulas that are more modern, innovative, and packaged in an elevated and sustainable new look.
I’m excited to continue to develop and expand my product range and for you to finally be able to experience it the way that I have always envisioned.
In addition, my team is hard at work to improve the customer shopping experience where you will be able to purchase my beauty and cosmetic offerings in all categories from one single website.
Thank you so much for being on this incredible journey with me, and I promise we won’t be gone for too long. xo, Kim Kardashian West”

While fans are speculating that KKW Beauty’s rebrand is so that Kim can officially drop the “West” from her name as she and estranged husband Kanye West are embarking on a divorce, sources close to the company say that is not the case—and that Kim Kardashian will continue to use her married name for all of her business ventures and has no plans to drop it any time soon.
