Roommates, TMZ reports that Kim Kardashian has officially filed to divorce Kanye West after almost 7 years of marriage, but sources say it’s amicable. This is Kim’s third divorce, following her two previous failed marriages and this is Kanye’s first.
Kim is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children. Sources also tell TMZ that Kanye is fine with the joint custody arrangement, and they both are committed to co-parenting together.
There’s a prenup that neither of the two are contesting. A settlement, including property and custody has already been reached. The documents, were filed by celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, however the date of separation is not listed.
As we previously reported back in January, sources close to Kanye West provided details about what led to the demise of their marriage. Sources close to Kanye said at the time that he has BEEN checked out of his marriage with Kim Kardashian due to the “craziness” of her family.
In late 2020, Ye started distancing himself from the Kardashian family but apparently he’s been done with them for a long time and it created problems for their marriage.
Sources exclusively told us Kanye could no longer deal with the Kardashian family dynamic and revealed that the couple has been living separately.
Meanwhile, it’s been reported that all of the divorce drama between Kim and Kanye will be documented on the upcoming final season of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
