Quincy Brown and Christian Combs aren’t playing about their mother’s life story and who gets to tell it! A new report claims that the brothers send an author a cease-and-desist to stop him from writing about Kim Porter. Plus, Quincy and Christian want to stop Courtney Burgess‘ coins from his writings within the next week.
The cease-and-desist follows the sixth anniversary of Kim Porter’s death. The former supermodel passed away from complications with pneumonia. She is survived by her sons, Quincy and Christian, and twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie.

Here’s What The Cease-And-Desist Says About Kim Porter
According to TMZ, Quincy and Christian sent Courtney and his attorney, Ariel Mitchell, the letter. The formal warning concerns Burgess’ book, ‘Kim Porter Tell It All.’ It is published under the pseudonym Jamal Millwood. Brown and Combs claim that they own the intellectual property rights. Therefore, they’re arguing that any alleged diary entries of hers belong to them.
Additionally, the brothers accuse Courtney Burgess of lying and misleading the public about his supporting evidence for the book. The author has alleged said he has a false drive with content from people who were close to Kim Porter. Though the brothers claim the flash drive story is a lie, they allege that IF it exists, it belongs to them nonetheless and isn’t Burgess’ to publish.
Burgess and his lawyer told TMZ at the end of October that federal agents seized his phone, which allegedly had a copy of the flash drive content.
In the next five days, Quincy and Christian Combs are demanding Courtney Burgess stop selling the book and turn over accounting for the sales he’s already made. Additionally, the brothers want him to stop giving interviews about Kim’s life and to turn over any and all possessions of Porter’s that he has.
Note that Millwood was also the pseudonym of an author who sold a Kim memoir, ‘Kim’s Lost Words,’ this year. The book was available via Amazon in September. However, the author’s name at the time was not revealed to be Courtney, but Chris Todd, per PEOPLE. At the time, an attorney for Diddy slammed the book as “a shameless attempt to profit from tragedy.” Meanwhile, Kim Porter’s sons and daughters released a statement calling the memoir lies.
