Roomies, Kodak Black has reacted to Donald Trump’s controversial remarks about Haitian immigrants eating cats and dogs.
At a recent concert in Ohio, Kodak Black played a clip of Donald Trump’s immigration remarks. In the clip, Trump voiced frustration over immigrants flooding cities and towns, specifically pointing out illegal Haitian migrants “taking over” Springfield, Ohio.
According to VIBE, Yak paused during the concert to ask the crowd if Trump’s words were real. “That s**t crazy. That s**t true? Man, I aint gonna lie, homie, Im a m****rf*****g Trump supporter,” Kodak said while onstage.
Kodak continued to share his thoughts on Trump, saying,Im Haitian. How yall feel about this election sh*t? I feel like we f**ked anyway. I aint with thatKamala Harrissh*t either. What the f**k going on in America?
Kodak Black clarified that while he supports Donald Trump, he doesn’t agree with the claims about Haitians eating pets. He even mentioned planning a trip to Springfield, Ohio, to see the situation for himself.
“Im finna go to Springfield tomorrow, Im going over there. I gotta see this s**t. I aint smelling that. I aint see no Haitian eat no cat, homie. When yall show me a Haitian eating a cat, then yall can say that s**t.”
Donald Trump initially made statements about Haitian immigrants during his first presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris on (Sept. 11). Donnie’s unfounded claim that Haitian immigrants in Ohio eat dogs and cats triggered a massive reaction across the country.
“Theyre eating the dogs, the people that came in, theyre eating the cats. Theyre eating the pets of the people that live there, and this is whats happening in our country, and its a shame,” Trump said at the presidential debate.
Per NBC News, Trump’s outrageous claim triggered a response from both the city of Springfield and Mayor Rob Rue. Mayor Rue dismissed the allegation, noting that there are no recorded incidents of immigrants eating pets in the city.
“Rumors like these are taking away from the real issues such as housing concerns, resources needed for our schools, and our overwhelmed health care system, Mayor Rue stated.
Complex reports that Kodak Black’s steadfast support for Trump traces back to the final day of his presidency. On January 20, 2021, Donnie granted Kodak a pardon while he was serving time for federal firearm charges.
In July, Kodak Black reaffirmed his support for Trump, expressing gratitude and commitment as the former president seeks a return to the Oval Office. Kodak also criticized fellow rapper Plies for making negative comments about Donnie after the recent assassination attempt, per TSR.
