Kodak Black Speaks Out About His Recent Arrest: “This Is A Character Assassination Issue”

Recently Kodak Black was arrested in Florida on felony drug charges after his vehicle was stopped by police for expired tags and over-tinted windows. Now he is speaking out about the arrest in a series of tweets, calling the incident a “character assassination issue.”

On Tuesday, Kodak took to his Twitter account and said,

“This s**t bogus Af I feel like This a character assassination issue Kuz theirs no way I should be getting harassed bout my tag being expired, that’s no reason to even search my car in the first place and going to jail about having my medication in the car is insane.”

In another tweet he spoke about filing a lawsuit, stating, “Ima Sue these people for every dollar I gotta spend bout this s**t!”

Kodak then proceeded to say that he was racially profiled in the situation, saying,

“As a black man in America, I deserve my freedom, especially with everything I do for my community I should be getting love, respect, and support from the authorities! To move freely, not getting arrested for expired tag and dark windows.”

He also shared that his people should have also made sure his tags were up to date, and the tints on his vehicle were just right.

“At da same time I should have a pass to drive with tints due to my status AT LEAST !!! I show all this love round here just to get slapped in the face,” he added.

As previously reported, Kodak was arrested back on July 15th for expired tags and over-tinted windows. During the traffic stop, police claim they found Kodak in possession of 31 oxycodone pills and nearly $75,000 in cash. He was released the following day on a $75,000 bond.

At the time, his lawyer Bradford Cohen said to Rolling Stone, “Never judge a case based on an arrest. There are facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case. We will move forward with resolving the matter quickly.”

As many of you know, Kodak Black was pardoned by Donald Trump back in 2021 right before he made his exit as president.
