Kodak Black’s Multiple Weapon Charges Have Been Dismissed By Florida State Attorney—Avoids Up To 15 Years In Prison

Kodak Black had a legal win. The rapper’s weapon charges have been dismissed, and he will enter a court-ordered drug treatment program.

According to The Blast, Kodak avoided up to 15 additional years in prison.

“We’re told both felony charges of ‘possession of a firearm by a prohibited person,’ have been dismissed — which could have carried a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.”

Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen Stated, “The State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle and her team sat down with me and listened to everything I had to say about Kodak.”

He also added, “At the end of the conversation, they were concerned that he couldn’t get into the court-ordered drug treatment with an open case and a max security prison. They agreed that the fair thing to do was to dismiss the case, so he can attend drug treatment and a lower security prison,” he stated.” Mrs. Rundle was amazing in her understanding and willingness to listen.”

This comes after reports surfaced that the rapper was planning to sue the U.S. Marshalls because a photo of him was leaked, according to TMZ.

As you know, Kodak is serving 3 years and 10 months for attempting to purchase firearms with false paperwork, as a convicted felon.
