What Prompted Kristin To Resign?
The drama first sparked at a Coldplay concert, when a cozy moment quickly went left between Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot. Things escalated when both execs at Astronomer appeared on the stadium’s jumbotron and visibly panicked. This moment prompted Chris Martin to joke about whether they were just “shy”… or “having an affair.” While the crowd laughed, the company wasn’t playing—Astronomer announced the launch of a full investigation into the incident.
Furthermore, on the heels of the viral video, Andy Byron officially tendered his resignation as CEO of Astronomer, according to a public statement released by the company on X. The Board of Directors accepted his departure and confirmed that cofounder and Chief Product Officer, Pete DeJoy, will serve as interim CEO while the search for a permanent replacement begins.
